Dr. John Francis Sullivan Sr., age 82, of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, June 23, 2017, with his loving family beside him. Beloved husband of Barbara A. Sullivan, nee Vaughn. Cherished dad of Dr. John (Susan) Sullivan Jr., Shannon Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan, and Kelly (Michael) Cavarretta. Adored grandpa of Nina, Keaton, Emily, Kelsey, Claire, Katie, and Hannah. Dear brother of Daniel (late Kay) Sullivan, JoAnne (late Daniel) McCarthy, and Gail Suttelle. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Hilda C. "Sue" Sullivan. Visitation Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Spirit of God Fellowship (16350 State St. South Holland, Il 60473) with Pastor Brian Kamstra officiating. Dr. Sullivan recently retired from dentistry after practicing in South Holland for 50 years. He also was the founding Pastor of Spirit of God Fellowship, the founder, along with his wife Barbara, and CEO of Restoration Ministries in Harvey, IL, and a South Holland Village Trustee for many years.
