With a history that dates back to the early 1900s, the DeYoung Funeral Home was first established in South Holland, and the Vroegh family took ownership in 1957. Now it is our privilege to serve the families of South Holland and surrounding communities since 1988 as Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel. We continue the long-standing tradition of taking a personal interest in accommodating your family and loved ones with integrity, trust, and compassion.
The funeral home is designed to accommodate the families we serve with a chapel, lounge, accessibility for people with disabilities, and ample parking. We frequently update our facilities to better serve visitors.
Smits DeYoung-Vroegh Chapel is situated on Route 6 just west of I-94.
